Ugly Irwin is resident among four hundred others in Corginia. He is considered ugly by the three hundred ninety-nine other corgis in the car, despite the fact that he appears physically majestic.
Appearance[]
Ugly Irwin is not a corgi and instead appears to be a golden retriever. He has a muscular build, long legs and fluffy fur which give him a majestic look despite his name.
History[]
"The Corgi Car"[]
Atticus describes Corginia as 400 strong, and "399 cute," specifically excluding Ugly Irwin and shuddering at the sight of him.
"The Cat's Car"[]
Tulip sees a vision of Ugly Irwin during her nightmare recollection of her parents revealing their divorce, flying through the air in flames and taunting "Divorce!"
Trivia[]
- Ugly Irwin's single line of dialogue ("Divorce") in "The Cat's Car" is provided by Reagan Gomez-Preston, the voice of Mikayla. The line was added during boarding by Kellye Perdue.[1]
- YouTube user Uncivilized Elk suggests that Ugly Irwin's appearance in Tulip's memory tape had to do with her associating her parents' divorce with the corgis' disgust with Ugly Irwin: specifically, a rejection of something that is different or goes against the status quo.[2]
- Justin Michael jokingly refers to creating Ugly Irwin as his greatest contribution to the show.[3]
