Roy G. Biv[1] is a colorful toy clock denizen who debuts in Book Three's "The Color Clock Car." The timed arrow on his face resets the Color Clock Car's obstacle courses depending which color it moves towards. Unfortunately, his memory also resets, causing him to forget the previous interactions with his guest passengers. He often introduces himself with the line "you can call me Roy cuz I'm yah boy."
Appearance[]
Roy is a small clock with arms and legs. He wears a bow tie and cartoon gloves. His clock face resembles a spinning wheel rather than a usual time keeping face. The five different colors on his face (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blurple) determine his appearance.
Incomplete Puzzle Mode[]
Roy's outer appearance matches the color his clock hand lands on. For instance, when the arrow lands on the color red, Roy's case, arms, gloves, legs, and feet also become red. The same applies for the other colors. Only the golden clock handle and white bow tie remain their constant color.
Solved Puzzle Mode[]
Once this puzzle car is solved the golden arrow on Roy's face stops. His case and gloves are white, while his arms, legs, and feet are rainbow. The bow tie at his chest changes to gold, just like his arrow.
Personality[]
Roy's memory appears to be divided among the five color sections of his body. When he changes color, Roy does not appear to remember what the last color experienced. Roy has a goofy voice when during his multi-colored unsolved puzzle form. Once his car's puzzle has been completed, Roy takes on a euphonious manly voice.
Trivia[]
- Before his actual debut, a toy resembling Roy can be seen in "The Lucky Cat Car" as a prize in the titular car.
- His full name, Roy G. Biv, is an acronym used to remember the colors of the rainbow in order: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.
