Infinity Train Wiki

The Pulse is a device that Amelia Hughes created to fix all the problems she caused after taking One-One’s place as the conductor of the Infinity Train.

Description[]

The pulse is a large glowing green line that covers the entire car at a time from the engine to the caboose. It can be seen in both the inside and outside of cars.

History[]

Sometime after Tulip Olsen left the train and One-One took back his position as conductor, Amelia decided to help fix the train in hopes of getting her number down. One act in doing so is creating a pulse designed to scan cars for corrupted code that were caused when Amelia took Orbs to build her own car with Alrick Timmens. The codes include phone booths, college campuses, and turtles, none of which matched the car they were in. However, due to a glitch in the form of Hazel, one of Amelia’s failed attempts at creating Alrick, the pulse caused the corrupted cars to be ejected, or moved to somewhere near the caboose of the train.

"The Musical Car"[]

While the Apex were raiding the Unfinished Car, the pulse scanned it and caused it to eject. In the process of it moving, Grace Monroe and Simon Laurent got separated from the rest of the Apex, who fled to the Spa Car for safety. This began a long journey for the two, who thought One-One was responsible, getting back to the Mall Car, meeting Hazel and Tuba in the process.

"The Color Clock Car"[]

After the four managed to solve the puzzle of the car, the pulse scanned it, causing it to start ejecting. They quickly fled, but Simon betrayed and killed Tuba in the process.

"The Canyon of the Golden Winged Snakes Car"[]

When Grace, Simon and Hazel met Amelia, she explained what was happening and that it started three weeks prior. However, when Amelia mentioned turtles as corrupted code, she realized Hazel was the glitch she was after, as she turned into a turtle after Tuba was killed. To protect her, Grace convinced Simon to flee with them.

"The Hey Ho Whoa Car"[]

When the three met with her again, she revealed herself as the true false conductor, proving the falsehood of the Apex’s philosophy. In an angry fit of denial, Simon attacked Amelia, causing Hazel to transform. Amelia realized her as the glitch and that the cars she’s in will be ejected if the pulse scans them, so she plans to quarantine her before that happens.

"The Origami Car"[]

Although Grace tries to persuade Amelia not take Hazel away from them, Hazel agrees to go with her, now seeing that Grace and Simon aren’t safe for her. Amelia thinks about studying her, but she insists that taking her away was just her job regardless of whether Hazel agreed. Outside, Amelia and Hazel wait for the pulse to scan the car, which takes them and the Hey Ho Whoa Car to another part of the train. Grace watched sobbing from just outside the Origami Car but Simon was uninterested. Eventually, Simon got killed by a ghom and Grace disbanded the Apex due to all this.

Trivia[]

  • The pulse played in an indirect role of Grace becoming a better person, but also Simon becoming a worse person and getting killed.
