Porters are robotic creatures that work in the Tape Car. They extract memories from the heads of the passengers and record them onto video tapes for later. The Porters are also responsible for giving passengers their numbers.
Appearance[]
Porters are robotic bird-esque creatures that extract and eat the memories of passengers and form them into tapes.
Episode Appearances[]
The Tape Car[]
The Porters are seen helping out One-One with the preparation of the passengers by creating the tapes out of extracted memories in the form of negatives. Lake destroys a couple of Porters when she gets angered at the fact that she can't get a number to get off the train. This causes One-One piloting the Steward to intervene in the situation.
The Number Car[]
A Porter is seen showing One-One that Jesse is back on the train as his number is in progress. One of the destroyed Porters is later used by Lake to try and stop Agent Sieve but to little avail.
Trivia[]
- Owen Dennis claims (somewhat jokingly) that they're called Porters because they literally deal with the passengers' baggage. They are considered a halfway point between One-One and the Steward: they are non-sentient but have design elements of both.[1]
