The Origami Birds are denizens of the Origami Car. They are small multicolored paper birds that live in paper houses scattered all around the car.
Simon steps on several birds when they first enter the car, crushing them but leaving their paper intact. Grace later fixes them in "The New Apex": as a show of gratitude, they save her life later on when Simon tries to kick her into the wheels of the train.

The birds come in a variety of colors and shapes, including paper cranes.
Personality[]
Not much is known about the origami birds, but they appear to be friendly, as shown when they save Grace's life after she fixes them.

"The Origami Car"[]
Upon entering the car, Grace is careful not to step on them, while Simon cruelly takes every opportunity to stomp on the birds and their houses.
"The New Apex"[]
After Grace escapes from her Memory Tape, she fixes the origami birds Simon stepped on, to which they show gratitude. Later, when Grace is kicked off the train by Simon, the birds narrowly save her life by carrying her back to the train. One remains with her while she is in the process of reorganizing the Apex, landing on her shoulder.
