Nate Cosay is Jesse's younger brother and son of Mr. Cosay and Mrs. Cosay. Nate plays an integral part of Jesse's development despite not appearing much in the season. The two are very close.
Appearance[]
Nate is a young boy of Native American descent with dark hair and an olive complexion.
In the recording he appears in during "The Toad Car", Nate wears a light blue t-shirt with a pupfish, gray shorts, white socks, and white and red sneakers. When he reappears in "The Number Car", his shirt is a mint green t-shirt with a dog face, and his left forearm is in a cast.
Personality[]
Nate is a caring boy who enjoys spending time with his family. Although he was hurt by Jesse's participation in the neighborhood kids bullying him, this was overshadowed by his concern for his older brother when Jesse mysteriously disappeared, and he was more than willing to forgive when Jesse returned and immediately apologized for his actions.
History[]
Nate injured his right arm partaking in a "man test", a ridiculous trail created by one of Jesse's friend groups to prove that Nate was man enough. The test involved sitting on an office drawer with wheels and sliding down a hill. Nate was hesitant to commit to the test but agreed when prompted by his brother.
After falling and injuring his right arm, Nate was mocked by the group for crying in pain. He runs home after Jesse sides with his "friends".
Infinity Train[]
Book Two - Cracked Reflection[]
The Toad Car[]
He is seen in a video Jesse watches of him being injured and tormented by his brother’s “friends”.
The Number Car[]
After arriving back home, Jesse was met by Nate, now sporting a cast on his injured arm. Jesse immediately apologized for his actions, which Nate accepted, too relieved to see his brother again to care anymore. After explaining what had happened onboard the train and how he had to leave MT behind, Nate goes into their house to get food for them and leaves Jesse thinking of a way to help MT.
After his brother and MT get off the Infinity Train, he runs up to them and is amazed to meet MT. When she names herself Lake, he compliments her choice.
