Hi there! How are things? I hopy you're doing well because I have an important message about the upcoming United Community Platform (UCP) this year. As you know, FANDOM will receive a huge renovation for improvements of editor/user/visitor experience planned to allow all extensions currently available to the MediaWiki engine. And due to that, the community will be going through phases of the development. To stay up to date about these upcoming changes, the blog is available for you to reference. Additionally, please be on the lookout for UCP phase releases and keep the users informed. For any questions and others, as always, please don't hesitate to message me about them, and I will be happy to answer them for you!
I’m contacting you, because we want to get off on the right foot the year and after all the feedback received at Community Connect, we want to know more about the current status of the communities. First step is to analyze the previous year, so we would like to hear from you about 2019. It’s so important for us to know what’s your opinion about the work that we did in 2019. It has been a year of a lot of changes and we would like to continue working in the right direction and find solutions to any problem detected by you in the last year.
We know that you could have questions about the UCP too, please feel free to ask me anything about it and I will share your concerns, comments and questions with the other Community Managers in order to obtain an answer as soon as possible.
Finally, also I would like to invite you to rate the last year in Fandom from 1 to 5, meaning 1 as "definitely not good" and 5 like "this has been a fantastic year!". It would be super helpful for our work.
BTW, if you haven’t joined us on Discord, feel free to do it, we plan to run some new projects there and use it as platform to communicate important things to TV/Movies communities, so you will be welcome to our server!
And like I said, let me know if you have any question. I will be happy to help you.
Now that it's been almost 4 years and two seasons since the pilot episode, i was thinking that it's high time to change the wiki's background from the space between trains in the pilot. Obviously i have no idea how, and you might not, so if you can't, that's okay.
Since you have met the requirements for adminship, I would be more than happy to appoint you as a new admin onto the wiki. You have already done a lot of good things for this wiki, so I hope they shall continue.
Secondly, are you on the Infinity Train Discord? If you aren't, it'd be useful to get you on there so we can add you to the wiki staff. Also, many wiki discussions are there, so it is important to figure this out as soon as possible. (Permanent invite link is here for simplicity)
Finally, if you need a guide to see what you can do as an admin, see here.
I've finished the necessary edits for the wiki itself for the administration. All that's left is getting the discord stuff done. I see that you've joined the discord, but I need you to make sure you are in the discord, meaning being a member.
I don't fully remember the system that the discord, but if you don't have access to all the member channels, go through whatever the discord has set up in order to access them. If you do have access to them, just post a message in the general caboose so that I know that you've gone through it.
It should be as simple as just putting the name of the image into the image part of the infobox. If it's with the Jesse image you uploaded recently, you should put what the image is currently named on the wiki, which is 6D9A6EE7-9345-4C7F-A707-041B07450DEC.png
If you're using the classical editor, it's as simple as replacing the current image with the new image. If you're using the visual editor, then I wouldn't know, I don't use the visual editor.
Hi again! A quick update on Featured videos - at the end of this December, available featured videos will be receiving some trial run experiments. This is being done to improve video quality since they tend to be outdated or unnecessary, therefore the main goal will be to figure out how to complement its content. Because of that, you might receive a video called "The Loop" play for anonymous users. It won't affect all users, so you might not notice. But if you want to learn more, you can go to the blog post. Let me know if you have any questions!
