Marcel is a denizen of the Infinity Train and a minor antagonist in the episode "The Map Car".
Appearance[]
Marcel resembles the Anemoi heads illustrated on old world maps from the 16th-18th centuries by European cartographers. He is essentially a chubby man's head flouting on a cloud, with a curly neck-length hair and short bangs. Two sets of wings protrude from his head, one pair from the upper sides of his head and the second from the lower part of his cheeks. On account of him being an illustration Marcel is colored in shades of beige: a lighter tone for his hair and a slightly darker tone for his skin.
Personality[]
At first impressions Marcel presents himself as being a cheery and helpful individual who encourages passengers to expand the lengths of the Map Car's territory. Behind this exterior, however, he is shown to be selfish and delusional. His true intentions are not to have passengers complete the map, but rather to expand the map's territory indefinitely. This ulterior motive is ultimately proven to be the result of fear. If the map were to be completed (by means of discovering the fragment with the exit door and then attaching it to the rest of the map) then Marcel would be transformed into plain wind, non-sentient, and thus akin to dying. As such, he will go to great lengths to ensure that the map is never finished, such as stranding the passengers on different locations on the map.
History[]
"The Map Car"[]
Marcel tasks Jesse, M.T., and Alan Dracula with putting together a map to expand the world and find the exit. At first appearing to help the trio, they eventually learn that Marcel's true intentions are to keep them from completing the map in order to maintain his immortality and keep them here forever. He is defeated when Jesse distracts him by drawing a sea serpent onto the map and draws his own interpretation of the missing piece of the map: the exit door. A real world that looks like a canvas painting is created and Marcel turns into wind.
