Trivia[]
- Lucy, one of the Apex kids, is modeled after a childhood photo of her, while another Apex child named Lindsay is named after her.[2][3]
- She was the first writers team member who was interviewed for the show.[4] During the interview, Owen Dennis and Madeline Queripel asked her about her favorite television shows, which she was initially too nervous to recall, eventually saying she liked science fiction shows like Star Trek. With further prodding, she noted her favorite was Star Trek: Voyager, which Queripel and Dennis quickly cheered at as Voyager was a major inspiration for Infinity Train.[5]
- Katai has a habit of writing long, philosophical dialogues between characters that have to be severely trimmed for time reasons. Examples include a cut dialogue between Mirror One and Mirror Tulip in "The Chrome Car" (later reused in "The Wasteland") and a longer version of Amelia trying to tempt Tulip with the prospect of creating a car for her in "The Engine."[6]
- Three years after Infinity Train, she became the co-developer of The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish, along with Ashleigh Crystal Harrison, Daniel Abramovici, Dave Stone.
