Kate Mulgrew is an American actress. She provides the voice of the Cat (Samantha) on Infinity Train.
She is best known for her role as Captain Kathryn Janeway on Star Trek: Voyager (which has been cited by Owen Dennis as an inspiration for Infinity Train) and Galina "Red" Reznikov on Orange is the New Black.

- The Cat was written specifically for Mulgrew. The crew had the character speak French due to the erroneous belief that she spoke it, only to realize after casting her they had no proof of this claim. It worked out in the end, however, when she stepped into the booth and revealed she could in fact speak French.[1][2]
