Johnny Young is the voice actor for Min-Gi Park.

Young is known best for being the voice of Crypto from the game Apex Legends. He's previously worked on series such as Ghost in the Shell (2017), The Warrior's Way (2010) and Ayla: The Daughter of War (2017). Young is also the voice of Ryu Simms from the Netflix original series Glitch Techs.

Young expressed a lot of excitement playing Min on Youtube and Reddit. On May 27th, 2021 he hosted a AMA on Twitch with Sekai Murashige answering questions relating to his career as a voice artist and his experience working on the show.

Personal Life and Career[]

When Johnny Young's dad took him to watch is first movie Batman (1989) he feel in love with storytelling and the superhero. He loved going to the movies every weekend and the feeling of being immersed into the story. Young's parents encouraged him to go to acting school. [1]

Infinity Train[]

Johnny Young met Sekai Murashige and Jeremy Crutchley to record the first episode at a recording studio in New York City. Young did the rest of the recording in Los Angeles remotely with the other voice actors.

In preparation for the role Young watched the first season, but decided he didn't want to know too much about the series since his character Min-Gi was experiencing the train for his first time.[2] He and Sekai had the most amount of notes for the series due to their main character's ethnicity, race and era.

Trivia[]

  • Young's favorite scene is the argument in the episode "The Art Gallery Car", describing the moment as two best friends shouting at each other and wanting to be loved.[3]
  • When asked what cartoon he'd like to voice act in given the chance, Young chose Batman Beyond.
